SHOULD DAN GILBERT HAVE CONSULTED LEBRON JAMES BEFORE LETTING GM DAVID GRIFFIN GO?

So, let me get this straight. The owner of the team has to answer to a player on the team. I know, it's LeBron James who happens to be the best player in the entire world right now, but c'mon!

Is it just me?

Oh, I guess it would depend on what stake one has in this -- whether it's money or maybe some people are such huge, die-hard Cavalier fans that they don't want anything to cause LeBron to bounce like the ball.

But, then again, LeBron is the reason why the games sell out, why sponsors shell out massive amounts of money to be featured alongside the Cavalier franchise, and he's why the franchise has become increasingly more valuable over the last couple of years.

Ok.

I guess somebody might say that Dan Gilbert should have consulted LeBron because rumor has it that LeBron is seriously considering leaving the Cavaliers soon for the west coast, and not consulting him on the decision to let a good GM go, like David Griffin whom LeBron liked, was a bad move. That's of course if he really cared about LeBron staying on with the Cavaliers. After all, LeBrown was "disappointed" and "concerned" about Dan's business decision about his own basketball franchise. I wonder if LeBron consulted Dan when he went to Miami.

Listen, I don't think that Dan Gilbert should have to consult with LeBron on any business decisions he wants to make about his own franchise. And, if LeBron decides to leave because of it, then I would say so be it.
