Right. 84 runs for India. England need five wickets, or maybe even one if that one happens to be Kohli's. As things stand, it is Sam Curran's blitz at the end of the second innings that is going to be the difference. So, save your hearts, for tomorrow promises to break many. It's setting up to be a repeat of that 2005 epic. Do join us then, until we meet next, ta ta!!
Virat Kohli took his game to another level - Harsha Bhogle
Sam Curran: I think it is pretty even. Obviously when we had them at 60/5 we were a wise bet. Still think a lot in the wicket for both bat and ball. So fingers crossed. Hopefully a big crowd comes in tomorrow. We do (need to get Kohli out). But we need the four wickets at the end as well. It is going to be a good day. It is going to be close. The first hour is going to be crucial, if we can get a couple at the top, hopefully we win.
Devesh says: Doesn't this game bring back memories from Edgbaston 2005? What a Test match!
Stumps: Trust these long overdrawn days to leave you short on nails. At the end of every session, just when you expect things to get clearer by the next, it only ends up getting messier. And boy, don't we just love that. 194 is no cakewalk, surely not when you have an attack like England's. But India made matters pretty tough for themselves with the way some of their batsmen have played. Dhawan nicked off like the world feared he would, Rahane fell to sheer indecisiveness, but the others had peaches to account for themselves. If not for Kohli standing there, the battle looked long lost. But England have been sensational - beating the edge, setting batsmen up .. if only their slip catching could complement.
35.6 Stokes to Kohli, no run, so anticlimactic. A bouncer too short for Kohli to be troubled .. he sits, he ignores, he walks off
35.5 Stokes to Karthik, 1 run, feeds the pads, very very deliberately. Whipped away to fine leg and Stokes gets what he wants - Kohli on strike, for one ball, one nervous ball
A short leg and a leg-slip. Stokes goes round the wicket
35.4 Stokes to Karthik, no run, 137kph, puts his bat to use, jabbing yet another shorter one towards gully
35.3 Stokes to Karthik, no run, bouncer again, Karthik drops his wrists and sways for a change
35.2 Stokes to Karthik, no run, bouncer, not quite getting up. Doesn't matter when Karthik is ducking so early
