"The Weekend Wash-Up" AFL Fantasy Classic Review + Summary!

Hi Guys,

A very high scoring Round 15 is done and we are really entering into the pointy end of the season now.

4 points is at a premium for anyone still in contention as there are only 4 more games to come.

Lets take a look at the weekends league results.

In the match of the round the undefeated top of the ladder Medhurst Minions played high scoring 5th placed Hannibals Leftovers.

This match up did not disappoint with both players incredibly going over 2300 mark.

As he has done all year it was the Minions who found a way to win courtesy of a huge Captain score from Tom MItchell.

Minions 2342 defeat Hannibals 2318.

This loss puts a little pressure on the Hannibals as they are now a game behind the all important Top 4.

In another thriller with Top 8 implications Adro's Assassins ground out a very important victory over Lions4Life, 2256 - 2221.

This victory has consolidated the Assassins top 8 spot and heaped pressure on Lions4Life who are now 2 games out of the 8 with 4 to go.

Playing for Draft Picks may be out of contention but she is capable of some big scores as BraphB found out this week.

The Picks pulled off a stunning upset, defeating the 2nd placed BraphB 2288 - 2122.

This loss effectively ends BraphB's chances of top spot but he remains a game clear in the top 4.

Mmeow was needing a victory to consolidate her top 4 position and she also had the bounty chance against Lockout (@o07) this week.

It was a chance Mmeow happily took as she won 2219 - 2079.

The victory moves Mmeow up to 2nd on the ladder while Lockout drops into 8th spot.

Lockout won't be too nervous though as the Assassins victory in the other game means Lockout is still 2 games clear in the 8.

Niges Cats has just cruised through the season winning most weeks with minimum of fuss.

This week was no exception as he dispatched Piston-Broke 2253 - 1805.

The Cats further consolidated his top 4 position and moved past BraphB into 3rd on the ladder.

Buffalo Bisons had the other Bounty chance this week against my (@dahmsy79) team.

With myself desperately needing to keep winning to keep my Top 4 ambitions alive, I got the job done 2369 - 1988.

In a battle of two lower on the ladder teams the Cunning Stunts is Back Again picked up a rare victory, defeating I Wear Footy Pajamas 1693 - 1468.

Kulate also got a rare win to push away from the bottom 2, defeating Little Old Lady 1954 - 1808.

Just2Random is unfortunately out of contention but still would of appreciated the guaranteed 4 points over the incomplete NZL19500.

Steemit Huskies is also out of contention but got a nice win over DBLSTR, 2103 - 1658.

So with 4 games to go the Top 8 looks like this:

Adro's Assassins 44
Lockout 44

Lions4Life is the unlucky 9th spot with 36 points.

Taking a look at the Round 16 matches with Top 8 implications:

6th placed Hannibals Leftovers will want to stay in touch with the Top 4 against an equally desperate for the win Adro's Assassins.

In a match up I've looked forward to all season, the undefeated Medhurst Minions takes on 4th placed BraphB.
That one should be a beauty

Lions4Life must win all his matches from here to make the 8 and won't have an easy time of it against 2nd placed Mmeow.

Niges Cats plays the dangerous Playing for Draft PIcks and will want to avoid the same fate BraphB had against the Picks
