Historical Sporting Moments
Rugby is an amazing sport. A thugs game played by gentlemen, and the RWC is the pinnacle. When South Africa won it in 1995 it was so significant, not just in sporting terms but in political terms, too. Coming off the back of their disgusting Apartheid history, SA had some hopes of unification, and this helped a lot.

I came to now that historical episode when I watched the movie "Invictous". Great movie, Morgan Freeman plays Mandela and Matt Damon plays Francois Pienaar. Much to the dislike of their supporters, who considered rugby a white's sport, Mandela supported the SA team with his presence because he considered himself the president of all southafricans.
