Hi, Steemers!
I wrote many times about quality of British Rally Championship at the end of the last century. And here we have a first season after ban of group A turbo four wheel drive cars. So, Alistair McRae was champion in 1995 with Malcolm Wilson's (boss of M-Sport Ford) Ford Escort group A. In the first event of 1996 British Rally Championship, Vauxhall Rally Of Wales, A.McRae is still a driver and he drives that same car but without a chance for battle for the Championship.
That's because F2 cars became so popular that British Motorsport Federation took it as a leading class. To remind you: F2 cars are group A cars with 2 liters engines, no turbo and only front wheel drive. Almost every car makers company had F2 cars as we can see in the video.
Beside F2 class, it was also Production class with group N cars such as Mitsubishi and Subaru.
Watch it and enjoy it...
i love sports car thanks for sharing.
