At one point the 58-year-old reached for the gun and - as reported by Manolo Jimenez, AEK trainer - approached the judge and told him: "Your career has just come to an end".
"He walked past me, but I had no idea he had a gun. It was only later that I saw him reaching for it. He threatened the judge, standing right in front of me. I am shocked. I do not understand it completely. This is surreal for me. They cancel the goal for your team, and suddenly the club's president and directors enter the pitch to threaten the referee. You expect such things rather from Clint Eastwood's films, not after the Greek league match,"said Jimenez.
The Spanish trainer reported the course of events in the radio stations Radio MARCA or Cadena SER. - Suddenly a guest entered the turf, they tell him that he is the president of PAOK. He goes before everyone, goes to the referee, then to our bench and threatens everyone. It was something completely crazy - explained the shocked trainer. The Spaniard also noted that Savvidis had a gun permit, and if you have it in Greece, you can theoretically carry it with you. In the end, the president of the team from Salonika, who was born in Georgia, was led out of the turf by the police.
