WELCOME TO MY WORLD - The Rugby Golden Cup Final!

Sport is really not something that I would normally blog about...
but for the last week I have been listening to the verbal build up to yesterday's grand finale from my man and there was simply NOTHING more important for Saturday's agenda!
I have had quite a bit of back trouble of late, so I was considering not joining him...
which was very quickly put to bed with a returned expression, not unlike this one lol...
So, join I did, Uber we caught and Arrive we did! And to be honest, the afternoon truly was just THAT spectacular, that it would simply have been wrong on SO many levels not to go and also not to share it! I actually don't recall thinking about my back pain once throughout the entire afternoon! lol
Yesterday was
THE GOLD CUP FINAL
which was our home team False Bay VS College Rovers
There was a LOT of hype and excitement surrounding the event and people started trickling in hours before the match just to ensure that they got a decent seat and view of the game...

We were there about two and a half hours before kick off so we got really good seats and made ourselves comfy very quickly :)
After the National Anthem, the game started and the stress levels rose... lol
At half time, we were already in the lead, which needless to say was GREAT for the spirits of not only the players, but the supporters alike.
The photos may not do the truth justice but there was a fantastically huge crowd there which if I am not mistaken was 5000+
That was it... done, dusted and official champions!!! Whoop whoop!!
With a final score of 30 -18 to us, you there was MUCH excitement and celebration unfolding on the field!

With all the trophies issued and the speeches done... it was time for some more "off the field" celebrations!
A truly memorable day indeed! Congrats to our boys!

I used to love watching sports games, was plain crazy about them, but not anymore. I kinda forgot what the hype is all about lol
I prefer doing sports now, whenever I can, at least between breaks of steemit :P
Sounds like a healthier option....lol but yes - he is VERY much in his happy place when I join him for such ventures :)
