UN BREAKABLE CRICKET RECORDS
Undoubtedly, like many other sports, cricket is also a game of numbers and records. There are many well-known records that most of us have heard of. Many of us know about Bradman’s 99.94 Test average or Sachin’s 100 international centuries.Every cricket fan has an idea about Murali’s international wicket haul or Sir Jack Hobbs’ first class records. But there are few records that we may not come across or we have not noticed. Here are five unknown records that may surprise you on any given dayCan you believe this? Yeah, it is hard to believe that Sachin has more five-wicket hauls than Warne. Sachin Tendulkar had two five-wicket hauls; one against Australia and the other against Pakistan. Shane Warne, on the other hand, has only one fifer which he took against West Indies in the year 1996.
#2 MS Dhoni - Only player to score two ODI hundreds at no.7Indias ODI captain and wicket-keeper batsman MS Dhoni holds this unique record in ODI cricket. No batsman other than him has achieved this feat in this format till this date. It is not always easy to score a century for your team after coming to bat at no.7,but he has done that twice one time against Africa XI in 2007 and the second time against Pakistan in 2012.
#3 Wasim Akram - Most sixes in a Test innings![wassim.jpg]You may think that probably Gilchrist or Sehwag or may be Brendon McCullum has hit most sixes in an innings in Test cricket, but it is Wasim Akram who had once smashed 12 sixes in an innings against Zimbabwe in 1996, who has this record.
In this innings, he had made 257* runs in 363 balls by hitting 22 boundaries and 12 sixes, thereby overtaking the record of Wally Hammonds 10 sixes still that record has not been brokenby any one. He was known as one of the greatest swing bowlers of world cricket.
#5 Virat Kohli - Only player to have an average above 40 in all three formats Probably, many of you have not noticed this but Virat Kohliis the only player in the history of cricket to have an average above 40 in all three formats, and that shows his consistency as a player of Team India, something which hashelped India in winning many matches in the last four years or so.
The second batsman who could have achieved this had he played more t20 matches is Micheal Hussey, whose average in T20 cricket is 37.94, and he had an average of more than 40 in both ODI and Test formats.
