FIFA CONFEDERATION CUP: MEXICO VS RUSSIA

The battle for a place in the semi-final is far from over in Group A.

This Saturday, Mexico faces Russia host country of the competition. Unbeaten any competitions confused in five games, the Mexican players are performing well for the moment in this confederations cup.

After a tie against the current European champion, the Mexican have chained with a difficult victory over New Zealand. Being the first tie of Pool A with the Portuguese, the Mexicans simply need a draw to qualify in the semi-finals.

On the other side, Russia, ranks third in Group A and is only 1 point apart with its opponent Mexico.

Indeed, after beating the New Zealanders in their first game, the Russians lost to Portugal.

What to expect from this game?

In my opinion tie and therefore qualification of Mexico.

This game will be tight because the Russians will have to attack and put pressure on Mexico to win the match.

But on paper Russia does not have the advantage against Mexico, indeed, Russia will miss 4 important players (Fernandes, Dzagoev, Zobnin and Dzyuba) all injured.

Mexico can easily contain Russia to get a draw and so the point of the qualification.
