Napoli Offers € 60 Million For Mauro Icardi

The president of Napoli claimed to have proposed € 60 million to bring Icardi and believes the striker could score 40 goals under Sarri's care.
Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, claimed to have bid € 60 million to bring Mauro Icardi.
There was news of Icardi's approach after Gonzalo Higuain moved to Juventus in the summer of 2016. De Laurentiis confirmed that and told of his encounter with Icardi's agent, Wanda Nara.
"I met his wife [and agent] one afternoon at their office, he was very friendly, I offered € 55-60 million, we also negotiated the potential of the contract," the president said.
"Icardi is a world-class striker and he can score 40 goals under Maurizio Sarri, he can be like Ronaldo."
Laurentiis was also questioned about the potential of approaching Icardi again and still implying optimism. "Never say no," he concluded.
