SPS Has Its Own Blockchain Now and Land 1.75 is Almost Complete
SPS Validator Network has been in the work for many years. During the last few months, SPS DAO had to step in to fund the developments and @jptrcorp was selected to continue the development. We have the fruits of that labor and @splinterlands gets to be among the gaming projects that have their own blockchain to support the project. I am not a programmer and I'm not familiar enough with code to say if its a sidechain such as Polygon (MATIC) or not. What matters is the fact that another one of the promises from the previous bull market has been delivered.
New Economic Use Cases Will Arrive
This is not a new phenomenon and definitely not uncharted waters. We have seen many services that allow users to get themselves a stake of a project that takes care of running and maintaining the node operations. We have seen various collective efforts to get the best out of Presales etc. by buying into a Token that raise funds to buy Booster Packs etc. Even @leostrategy acts as a service that provide a leveraged bet on $LEO.
@thorlock already has a project where user can own fractional shares of Validator Licenses and earn SPS and VOUCHERs. The fee is only 5% which is perfectly fair IMHO. I wish there was an easy way to simply delegate the Validator License to a node and earn a portion of the Rewards. Those of us who have been using DPoS blockchains are used to this type of arrangements.
This is Merely A Beginning
I bought my LICENSE during Presale and I have been happy to HODL it. I was compensated with SPS and VOUCHERs which paid off part of my investment. Once SPS prices are higher, I will have made a good profit.
I am not running a node because I don't have the hardware to do so. If I had the money to rend a server to try things out, I would have invested it in buying cryptocurrency instead. I don't want to be the inexperienced rookie asking for support too often. I am new to Linux and Terminal.
Most LICENSEs Remain Unsold
The sale is happening in 8 parts. I don't see the VOUCHER discount available on the UI. The original plan included discounts upto 50% of the price by spending 500 VOUCHERs along with SPS. This would have made buying VOUCHERs a must for anyone interested in buying a Node License.

Prices Have Reached Rock Bottom
There are multiple LICENSE related Tokens and their prices are in a complete disarray. On top of all of that, the market prices have reached such a low point, the blood is truly on the streets. I'm not saying it is impossible for the prices to go any lower. What I'm saying is that we are at a very good entry point for LICENSE.
SPS, Genesis League Sports and Arcade Colony
Invennium is turning @splinterlands technology into a modular system that can be used to onboard more developers and users to HIVE. Genesis League Sports is behind @gls.goals and @arcadecolony has been the Invennium project that has been receiving the most attention. The attempt is to replicate the success of @splinterlands and even onboard Web 2 games by adding Web 3 elements. I would like to think of this as similar to EVM Chains or Cosmos SDK.
There is no interest in these LICENSEs because they do not generate enough revenue. Node Licenses are priced in dollar while generating cryptocurrency for the investors. The bear market has already made some investors quit. A supply of 60,000 each priced at $40,000 is 2,400,000,000 dollars! There are 3 Validator Networks with the first one going live now.
Land 1.75 is Preparing for Testing
There is technically no launch date yet. @cryptomancer has been working very hard on making Praetoria a more vibrant place. We have a long way left to go before player crafted items. What we are starting to see are the basic foundations. At the same time we see many upgrades to the UI of the game.

The above are parts of the New Player Experience. These are all small upgrades that add up to make a great difference in the player experience. Once the price of SPS, GLX and COLONY have higher prices, the rewards from Validators Nodes will become a lot more valuable. What this means is a flywheel effect to the stratosphere (until the next crash arrive). This is where you can begin your journey!
