That Was Fun! My Splinterlands Raffle Results!
Given the chances they had announced of getting some sort of prize for 1 in every 15 raffle tickets, I was trying to focus on getting something for each of my land plots which stood at 400 at the time of the drawing. I was most looking forward to getting Totems which I think will be a way to increase efficiencies and opportunities when lands launch. Since I was a bit below the average of one prize per land before the drawing, I went out and bought 2,000 more raffle tickets the morning of the drawing.
Luck worked in my favor as I got a little more than the 1/15 chance at the end. While I did not get any of the larger valued prizes, I was still very happy with my results. First, I got two legendary Totems which seem to be a hotter commodity among the community than even the best Gold Foil Legendaries with prices going past $300. I was able to get Totems for more than half of my land plots so I still have some work to do. However, I will wait a bit as the speculative prices of the Totems seem high at the moment.
I was also happy to get more packs to open and save. I was actually thinking of acquiring some Dice packs despite having purchased the Collection as I still miss the experience of opening packs. So getting 77 Dice packs was great! Also got some more Untamed Packs which I will likely open as the amount of potions I am holding continues to increase and I guess it will be best to put them to use by opening packs soon.
It was fun to see the community react to their luck and quickly start to trade around. I did not see any issues with the Raffle so kudos to the development team for another milestone reached and another learning experience that could definitely be used in the future. As usual, after something new, many start to wonder the next catalyst to get the community excited which includes some not being happy and leaving. However, I think the community has grown enough and adds enough players frequently to offset this which is healthy longer term as the Collections spread more throughout the community. Looking forward to what is to come in the future!
