What if a website does not use HTTPS connection –

You information will be not encrypted and anyone can see the message.
You information will be transferred as a plain text and can be modify by bed cyber criminals.
An unsecure connection may invite hackers and bad cyber attacks like MITM
Loss of trust and confidence or may lead to bad brand reputation
No green bar in the browser
Hacking recovery cost you more than money
No privacy and security
Your data, personal information will be insecure
Insecure online transactions

This means your website is vulnerable to hacking.
Have you checked that your website is secure against sql-injections ?
Especially since its connected with the steemit accounts. I think its really risky to have a databank with full names and the usernames without security.
But maybe I am just paranoid.
When @combofrenzy and I created a website it was super hashed and encrypted so the user data was more than safe. Especially since you guys invested a lot of money it would be very smart to invest a bit into security as well. Especially when you want it to grow rapidly.
