My Lucid Dreaming Journey Day 67 - Dream Recall Is Almost Perfect!
Refresh
Feels like I haven't posted for ages! I didn't have access to a computer all this time, because I stayed at my friend's place for a week.
I haven't had a lucid dream in this time period, but my dream recall seems to be soooooo much better. Like 10 times better. No.. Maybe 11 times better.
Seriously, I'm able to write down so much when I wake up. It used to take like 5 or even less minutes to write down my dreams.
But now it takes so much more time. Even this morning, I spent over 20 minutes to write everything down. Probably 30 minutes, but I didn't really look at the time, so I'm just guessing based on how long it felt like.
Anyway, the whole week was a refreshment to me. An escape from my daily routine. It's not like I hate my daily routine or anything like that.
But a change of routine can definitely refresh the mind and soul.
I wasn't consistent with the techniques though. I tried doing WBTB technique every day, but most of the time I was too lazy to do anything.
Plus, I was just taking a break from everything I do normally, this includes putting effort into the technique.
Still, I didn't stop thinking about lucid dreaming. I kept on doing reality checks. I didn't want to lose the habit of being aware.
It's also much easier to think about lucid dreaming since I'm able to remember my dreams with much detail now. I keep on thinking about my dreams every day.
Before, when I couldn't remember any of my dreams, I struggled a lot to keep my mind onto this, because nothing seemed to work. But I didn't give up anyways.
I know that consistency will pay off. Some people are able to have a lot of lucid dreams within their first month. Some people need years of practice.
And some people are me. These people need thousands of years of practice, LOL.
Dream Memory Withing a Dream
Today's dreams were particularly interesting, because I was thinking about lucid dreaming at one point.
My dream memory begins when I was at my old school. I was playing basketball there. On the other side of the court, there was this kid.
He started talking shit about me. So I got close to him, picked him up and then slammed him into the ground. He started crying and he went to the teacher.
Teacher called the cops, but they were different from real life. Almost like they were some sort of security guys. Anyways, those guys warned me, but didn't do anything.
I went on playing basketball again. Then, the kid started talking shit again. So, I came next to him and slapped his face. He started crying again, and he ran to the teacher.
Teacher called cops that looked like security guys again.
This time, they told me it's the last time. If this happened again, I'll go to jail.
Later, I don't remember if anything else happened, but I was on my way home now, with another kid. I brought him home and I did something to him.
I think I slapped this one's face as well, LOL. So, he was about to call the same security guys, but I didn't allow him. He was like my hostage.
But, I let my guard down for a second and he immediately called the cops. All these times, those security guys arrived within seconds after the call. I found that to be very weird, but still had no clue it's a dream.
Anyway, I managed to escape the cops, but I was really worried that I would go to jail.
Then, I'm not sure if I woke up after this, or continued dreaming, but I was in a different dream I think.
I thought it's real life, and I was thinking about the previous dream. I remembered those security guys and I was glad that it was only a dream, cuz I didn't want to go to jail.
I was in the street and I saw an old friend. He was standing on a platform so he was a bit higher than me. I got close and I was about to put one of my feet on the platform to get into the same height as he is, but I slipped.
I was about to fall down, but he grabbed my hand. When he grabbed my hand, I also bumped into a person. When I looked at him, it was one of those security guys.
At this moment I thought my dreams might be showing something to me. I thought I'm starting to dream of people that I will encounter in real life.
It was this "WOW" moment for me. I really had no clue that this is also a dream.
Moments later I woke up and I was surprised how the whole thinking about a dream in a dream felt.
I fell asleep again and had even more dreams. This time my dream was basically a nightmare, because a creature attacked me by the end, but I won't go into details, cuz I don't want to focus on such dreams too much.
I'm ending this post here. At the end of each post I'll include my first post (down below) about this journey as it explains why and how I'm doing this! (Full Post Here)
I Will Be Doing This Every Day!
The main reason I want to start lucid dreaming, is for self improvement. I've been reading a lot about it and studies have shown that you can actually improve certain abilities by doing it in your dreams. For example, if you wan't to learn a foreign language, you can practice it in your dreams. Since you're working with your subconscious mind while you're sleeping, you might find out that you know words that you were never aware of while conscious. It's really all up to your creativity to what you wanna learn and improve upon in your dreams. Is it basketball that you want to become better at? You can do that! Do you want to become a better fucker? Nobody is holding you back! Just make a nasty slut appear in front of you and do whatever you want with her! Apparently while sleeping, the neural pathways engaged in the activity are strengthened, and not only imagined or visualized. To achieve lucid dreaming, a lot of action has to be taken. Well... Some find it really easy to lucid dream, but most have to achieve it the hard way. It's really important to think about lucid dreaming throughout the day. This way you're telling your subconscious mind that this is what you're focusing on and what you want, thus it gives you the access to control the dream world. There are quite a few things I will be doing in order to achieve this goal! So, first of all, I will be posting my whole lucid dreaming journey here on Steemit every day. I will be writing down all of my dreams on a journal. A dream journal is basically essential if you want to achieve lucid dreaming. I will do at least 30-50 reality checks every day. Have a sleeping rhythm. That means I will be going to sleep at the same time every night. I'll also wake up at the same time every morning as well. I will also experiment with some techniques to induce lucid dreams. I won't look at any screens (computer, TV or even phone) 30-60 minutes before bed, because I've read that this helps a lot. For those 30-60 minutes I will be meditating. Talk, read and think about lucid dreaming constantly. Occasionally I will listen to lucid dreaming binaural beats and hypnosis. I will use an app called Awoken. This app is designed to help you achieve lucid dreaming. It reminds you to do reality checks throughout the day and it has a dream journal, which is where I will be writing down all my dreams when I wake up. I will experiment with the supplement called Dream Leaf, I already ordered it and I will use it when it arrives. I will take it only once or at most twice every week to see if it changes anything about my dreams and the ability to become lucid.
Tracking All My Progress!
So, like I've mentioned before, I will be tracking all my progress and I'll be posting about it every day here on Steemit. Also, after I achieve lucid dreaming, I won't stop posting about my experiences for some time still. When I achieve my goal, I will be writing down a lot of experiences that I have inside the dream world, and I'll experiment if it's actually possible to improve real life skills while sleeping. I set a personal goal to achieve lucid dreaming within 30 days starting today. I'm really excited and hopefully I'll be able to do that even faster than 30 days! This is not the first time I try to achieve lucid dreaming, but I never took it seriously and I was too inconsistent, so I never even came close to becoming lucid. But this time I'm gonna SMASH it and record the whole journey on this blockchain!
UPDATE: I achieved lucid dreaming for the first time on day 12
I will become lucid tonight!

Interesting dream experience. I too have had some similar experiences where I had these intuitive hints like you had them here with the "encountering of a person you could meet in real life".
Three weeks ago I was in some place on my Home planet next life, and the energy of this place was rather dark. It was night, the ground was cobblestoned, and there was a building in front of me which appeared quite dilapidated. After walking a few steps I opened myself a bit more to my surroundings, and suddenly I came to a point where the scenery very much reminded me of one we tend to find in computer games when we are about to have a boss fight. The entire atmosphere and environmental structure was heralding that. What I then found myself saying was:"Somehow I feel that I will visit this place next life".
To your double- layered dreams, I know them too. Sometimes I have a dream experience, and suddenly I wake up in the dream and then tell my family what I was just dreaming. We are truly multidimensional :)
I have a lot of dreams where the feeling of the dream is like a computer game. It feels as though I'm in a video game but I never realize I'm dreaming. I seem to just go with the flow.
I don't recall having any double-layered dreams before, so this was an interesting experience to me. I mean, I had false awakenings and all that, but this was somehow different. I was thinking so much about the previous dream, yet I didn't think this could also be a dream. I guess I gotta be more aware!
