Often times, when we think of some of the greatest spiritual seekers to ever live, we note that they renounced all possessions. This has become a staple in every culture regardless of your spiritual belief. This has led us to believe that attaining wealth is somehow bad and that money is "the root of all evil". Yet in some cultures such as Hinduism, we have the goddess Lakshmi which specifically is prayed to and worshiped for the attainment of wealth. "Artha" meaning the attainment of wealth, is even one of the goals of life itself.

Yet in the modern era, it can seem that wealth is almost a necessity. How can one truly provide and help others, if they themselves are troubled? Once we come to a place of wealth, we can relax and settle our minds. We can take more time for our spiritual practices, and give charity to those in need. Unfortunately, we live in times in which true wealth is scare. We are manipulated into a system, that does not want us to truly succeed.

We must face our fears, and programming and realize that wealth is within us. We must create ethical companies that will further advance the human race, and provide resources for each other. Utilize the full capacity of the human mind before its too late, when we all turn into mindless zombies plugged into the corporate machine. The human mind is exceedingly creative and intelligent, bright and full of potential. We must become hard workers, but we should work for ourselves instead of others. Make your goal to strive, not to survive.
