Luke 6:43-45
"A good tree can't produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can't produce good fruit. A tree is identified by its fruit. Figs are never gathered from thorn bushes, and grapes are not picked from bramble bushes. A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart."

When we have something good, something that has benefited us in some way, it's natural to want to share it with others, thinking that this good thing is worth sharing because it may benefit them too.

When we are thinking about how to help others, we are choosing to pick from the treasury of a good heart. On the other hand, we could be thinking: wow! this is too good to share, perhaps, it would be best to keep it to myself, or we may simply not bother to do anything about it because it would take too much time and effort; meanwhile, that good thing we had going has become stale and has lost its valor over a period of time.

We've all heard the quote, "Sharing is caring". Sounds like something out of a children's story book right? yet, it holds true meaning for us all; who would ever go hungry if the world shared all the good stuff it so jealously beholds?

If someone has a great business idea, a charity, a fund raiser idea or whatever it may be, that offers a great service for others, that project is most likely to prosper. The better the quality of the service, the more returning clients it is likely to create, the bigger the project will become. When we invest in our communities in a way that contributes toward a better standard of living, then we are indeed choosing to pick from the treasury of a good heart. The more we give, the more energy we generate feeding good vitality elements from a higher source to others, therefore supporting the spiritual health, mental and physical well being of those involved, it's a win-win situation.

This proverb, is a life principle, a key point to remember for everyday living. Whenever we are shopping for new ideas and inspiration, it's too easy to become complacent and only think about things that please us, but if we want to be better, bigger or more prosperous in various aspects of our lives, than this Bible verse is worth meditating upon for believers and non-believers alike!

"When we share, we open doors to a new beginning." Paul Bradley Smith.
