Reiki and his Master
Since the 1990s, researchers, therapists, doctors and enthusiasts (among others) have conducted research on what is Reiki, Bringing the Light this therapeutic method, already widely used in Japan.
Many authors: Frank Arjava Petter, William Lee Rand, Hiroshi Doi and many other renowned have attracted attention to this fantastic therapy, putting a new perspective on healing and re-establishing health.
Mikao Usui, was the father of Reiki. Widely used in the East, now reaching the West,
Its charismatic founder; Usui. It has a great urban legend around him, almost an aura of super hero and miracle worker.
In Tokyo. The largest reference of information about him, is the memorial stone found in his tomb, in the district of Suginami, in the Buddhist temple of Saihoji.
In my opinion, like Heikian, I find the information sources a little bit poor, about this great master.
I have deep respect and gratitude to him for bringing this knowledge to light.
This memorial built in 1927, by people attached to it, as well as its students. Reiki Ryoho Gakkai is an official Reiki association, recognized and based in Japan.
What Juzaburo Ushida wrote in this lapidary and memorial, summarizes the course of the founder of Reiki; as well as the discovery and implementation of the method.
Mikao Usui, was born Gyohan on August 15, 1865, in Taniai Mura, Yamagata district, Gifu Prefecture, Japan.
In his youth he studied Buddhism. Later, he deepened his studies in other Buddhist lines; such as Zen Buddhism and Tendai Buddhism.
It has never been linked to Christianity, as many profess.
He has worked in various professions during his lifetime: government official, businessman and personal secretary of the politician Goto Shinpei.
He has deepened his knowledge in several areas: medical science, psychology, religion, divinatory science and energy therapies. The master's compendium of knowledge helped in the creation of Reiki. The method was officially released in 1922 after a 21-day Buddhist retreat.
The teacher professed on Reiki: "a method to free the body and the mind".
Tool for healing, development and personal evolution.
The First Reiki Center was inaugurated in April 1922, people from all over Japan went to receive treatments and teachings.
Mikao Usui suddenly passed away on March 9, 1926, leaving about 2,000 graduates, of whom only about 17 received a Master degree.

I've heard so many versions, but yes this follows my thinking. What gets me is the lineage back too him. I was told the British reiki federation could find my lineage for £150. To me this is irrelevant as long as you have been taught be a respected master then is has obviously come from the original in some form or another. We all have the ability and to me lineage of a bit corporate. Sorry a rant there 💯🐒
