Spirituality And Religion
Spirituality vs religion
This has become almost a cliché
“I’m spiritual not religious", what does that even mean?
We're all spiritual beings
The same creator, created all of us
We're all spirits no matter what we believe
Our spirit is eternal, all knowing, perfect, and pure
Our bodies are corrupted, destined to die from the moment we're born, we have very limited knowledge, and we are slaves to sin
The wages of sin is death
So we have the man, created in God's image and the sinful man living side by side in the same body
One must prevail
In the state we are in, it is the sinful man who reigns supreme in all of us.
This is the way it must be, there is nothing we can do to prevent it
We ARE slaves to sin
There are many religions in the world with many similarities, but they all contradict each other, they can't all be right
So either one is right or none. I believe that none are right
How do religions begin?
Let's say a man has a personal experience with God, an experience outside the boundaries of his physical existence
He wants to tell others of this experience so that they too may find truth
He can't give them his truth because he experienced it alone
He can only lead them
People may believe his story and subscribe to his beliefs but unless they experience personal interaction with God, it will only be their belief, not their truth
And so a religion or an offshoot of an existing one begins.
No matter if what they're preaching is true, it's not pure truth unless one experiences it personally
I look at the people of the world and I see many high profile people who are obviously spiritually empowered
They radiate a supernatural presence
But if I look high and low for one spiritually empowered by the Holy Spirit of God, I see none
Yeshuah said " greater things shall ye do than I"
So where are these people?
The ones that shall do greater things than he?
Are they preaching in churches? Writing books about God? Knocking on people's doors to tell them the good news?
By their fruits ye shall know them
These people are not spiritually empowered
Let's look at the spiritually empowered who are ungodly
They all seem to ooze charisma, they're wealthy, beautiful, talented etc
They are worshipped and envied by many
Lucifer desired to be worshipped and still does
By their fruits ye shall know them
So what are the fruits of the Holy Spirit?
Love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control."
In our present state we are not capable of displaying these virtues in their purest form, and to be effective, they must be pure
Everything we do, good or bad comes from a root cause, which ultimately leads back to our selfish nature
He said greater things shall we do
Is he a liar?
No!
So who are these self-proclaimed shepherds? Preachers of the “truth"
Are they raising the dead? Healing the sick? Turning water into wine?
I've yet to see it
Are they qualified to teach the truth to others?
Do they ask for donations?
Do they sell their books of wisdom?
What's to be gained from what they do?
Is it ok to sell the truth?
No!
I've yet to see even one who's worthy to even speak his name
They should all fall on their knees and weep with shame at their pride and arrogance
They've turned God into a commodity
Preaching the gospel has become a multi-level marketing scam
Bringing people to Christ is merely recruiting them to a pyramid scheme
Even if they often speak the truth, it matters not, it's not the living truth, it's just dead belief
There is only ONE way to paradise
It's harder for a rich man to get into heaven than for a camel to go through the eye of the needle
First we have to unload EVERYTHING
There has to be NOTHING left that we want from the world
Not people or money or power or even love
It's all lies and temptations to keep us here
We have to stop deceiving ourselves and look deep within at the things we desire and rid ourselves of them
We need to stop justifying
Where your thoughts are, there also is your heart
Whatever is that you want, is the thing you must rid yourself of
It doesn't matter how noble and worthy it seems
You think you can justify it?
What is virtue?
You can justify nothing
"'Come out of her, my people,' so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues;
You can't play in the world and expect to escape unscathed.
Compromise is NOT an option
It's all or nothing
Have no part of it
The world/system/matrix has NOTHING to offer that isn't rotten to the core
Before we can completely surrender to God, we must completely empty our house
Then we must open all the drawers and cupboards and look under the bed to make sure there's nothing we've left behind
We're more than capable of deliberately hiding things in places that are difficult to find and conveniently forgetting
It can be extremely painful letting go of some things
So we justify to ourselves why we should keep them
“There’s no harm in keeping this" “it’s not a bad thing" " God won't mind if I keep this thing"
Abraham was told to kill his own child. His only son who he'd waited many years for.
But he trusted in God completely
He didn't know that God would intervene at the last moment
He was willing to fully submit to Gods will and he was greatly rewarded
But this is not why he was willing to do it, not for a reward, but because he understood that God is all wise, all knowing and always just and fair
He realised that our knowledge, wisdom and sense of fairness can't even begin to compare
The Holy Spirit of God cannot not find a home in us until we realise this and completely empty our temple of everything. Surrender all to him and he will fill your temple with priceless treasures that can never be destroyed or stolen.
