Spiritual advice: The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and the one who is wise saves lives. Proverbs 11:30
The Book of Proverbs gives us a spiritual advice: "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and the one who is wise saves lives" Proverbs 11:30.
What this phrase tells us is first of all that the path of rectitude is progressive and gradual; and it can be compared to the fig tree or the vine that sprouts when spring begins, then fills with leaves, and finally bears fruit.
There is a similar teaching in the book of Proverbs that better explains this to us: "The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day" Proverbs 4:18. The righteousness is continuous learning and growth towards a potential, and that spiritual or mental potential is the grace of God that makes us wise as God is wise. Thus fulfilling a demand before the Lord: "You must be perfect with your God" Deuteronomy 18:13.
The spiritual gift of righteousness is first correct judgment, the sacred listening or exact justice: listen (perceive with attention), meditate with intuition and inspiration, and decide with discernment; and second, the correct action, the golden rule: "So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you" Matthew 7:12.
And this spiritual gift has something very important, like a hidden treasure, righteousness is the path to wisdom, immortality (longevity), and eternal life (contemplative activity), that is, the spiritual illumination through Gnosis.
Finally, the proverb concludes by saying that whoever is wise saves lives, because that is precisely the goal of spiritual enlightenment in man; of that wisdom that fills the heart of the human being, the wisdom seeks to increase and protect life, in other words, to increase the order and the perfection of the universe. Life is a gift from the Lord and whoever is wise, for that love projected towards all the work of God, cares for all living things.
