Surrender to God. What does it actually mean?

For most of us, surrendering to God is to follow certain processes defined in our religion. We have the misconception of God, sitting on some throne and eager for offerings. We go to temples/Church/Mosque, we start reciting mantras, sing songs in the glory of God, light candles, offer gifts. All being done like a process; expecting a perfectly logical output of the process. Unknowingly, we get into the trap of having full faith in the process rather than the God.  We all know that there are many ways to reach God and surrender to his love and caring. But, just following any process for the sake of it is not surrender. The superpower that has created us, this universe and the planet we live in, do you really think need any of our materialistic gifts? The God is very logical, He urges logical ways to find him in everything around, your actions, your tests, and your gifts in life. Everything happens for a reason and each and every happening is God's urge to seek Him.

A person who has fully surrendered to Almighty takes every step in his name. 

In any given situation, it’s our natural instinct to control our environment. Therefore we have the perfect excuse not to let God work in our lives. We limit him to prayers and rituals. We persistently try in the limited sphere of knowledge and understanding and thus complicate the situation further. When everything fails we cry for His help as a last resort. 

A sudden occurrence of fortunate coincidences is nothing but the Hand of God.

One who has fully surrendered to Almighty, take every step in his name.  There is full reliance on God to work things out instead of trying to manipulate others, forcing agendas, and trying to control the situation. Every action is taken with full awareness of cause and effect.  A fully surrendered person never struggles but trust more and more. God then guides him/her to work in best circumstances following the truthful path. God brings people into his/her life for guidance. There is a sudden occurrence of fortunate coincidences which is nothing but the hand of God.

You know you're surrendered to God when you rely on God to work.  Let God take charge. Instead of trying harder, you trust more.

It's never too late to surrender and reach out to God. His love is unconditional. God has a way of raising our level of potential until we’re shocked by our own accomplishments.  It’s up to us to follow 'HIS' lead.
