📷 Spiderwebs By Design
"By Design" Spiderwebs Contest #14 @claudiaz
Itsy bitsy spider said "Please don't walk into my web", wasn't planning on it, move with caution....
Spiderwebs take an hour or so to spin, they pretty quick! Golden Orb spiderwebs are about 1 to 1.5 meters in diameter, repairs take place more than building from scratch.
Grand display designed to catch food hanging from trees in this neighbourhood.
Called Golden Orb web spiders because of the yellow colour to their web silk. (That belly looks golden to me as well)

Pretty spider... Although very big better than staying in the neighborhood. Hahaha
Big enough to see from a distance @anasuleidy
That pic is just stunning. I love that the spider and the web on the one side stands out then on the other side and above the colour patterns. Thank you for sharing!

Thanks so much @joanstewart 🙂
Was this in your back yard?
I normally see a lot of them when we go down to Sodwana ... beautiful, sure... scary? Hell YEAH!
St Lucia, down the road from Sodwana. Agree beautiful, with a bit of distance between me and it....
I never knew that. thanks for the information, the shot was great too. "blessings"
Fascinating to watch some around the garden, they spin and leave up for the night, disappear during the day to return and do it all over again the next day @giftedwords
nice, thank you
Got it right, in the right time frame by way of a change @claudiaz thanks for the fun.
What a beautiful photo @joanstewart! I was just telling a friend today how I have been terrified of spiders ever since I was a kid and if I'd seen this bad boy, I would have been running in the total opposite direction...and not to grab my camera either haha
The bigger, the easier to see them @lyncoyle1 so long as I can see no odd movement from them I'm happy to click away.
Fair enough...you're a braver woman than I @joanstewart! :)
