BET3: Angers - Bordeaux
Visiting Bordeaux are searching for just their second Ligue 1 (L1) victory in ten rounds and will need to defeat Angers SCO in league football for the first time since the turn of the century to find it.
Angers are unbeaten in six league matches, although with the last five of those drawn they remain hovering above the relegation zone. Just one of seven clubs to have won two or fewer home matches this L1 season, the hosts will be keen to amend that quickly.
Once one of the slowest starting top-flight clubs at home (they had just one goal for, and four against, from their combined first-half performances by the end of October), Angers are correcting this trend, opening the scoring in their last three at home.
And beIN Sports claims Kagawa has agreed a six-month loan deal with Ligue 1 outfit Bordeaux in a bid to play more minutes – despite reported interest from Everton and West Ham.
The midfielder made 71 appearances for Dortmund between 2010 and 2012, guiding them to two Bundesliga titles and two German Cups in the process, before joining United at the start of Sir Alex Ferguson’s final campaign.
The pair ended up lifting the Premier League title, with Kagawa scoring six goals in 26 games.
But the next season under David Moyes was an unhappier affair, with Kagawa playing 30 times without hitting the target once.
