Perfect in Speech

For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body. James 3:2

Our LORD JESUS said to the Pharisees, that it is not what comes into your body that defiles you, but what goes out. In other words, it is not the food that you eat or the water you drink that defiles you, but the evil words that comes out from your mouth.

Know this, a man who is able to control his tongue, can control his body too. Try and be perfect in your speech. Any discussion not giving glory to GOD, you should not be a part of it. "Keep away from profane and foolish discussions, which only drive people farther away from GOD"(2 Timothy 2:16).

Ungodly talks makes someone ungodly. You look like anything you do, so when you are speaking in an ungodly manner, you defile yourself and also become ungodly. When you control your tongue, you can also control your body out of anything that does not please the LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Pray to the LORD to have mercy on you and help you control your tongue.

Our FATHER we thank you for your Word. Please forgive us with the precious Blood of JESUS CHRIST from all of our sins. Blessed HOLY SPIRIT please give us self control and also help us control our tongues, thank you FATHER because it is done, in JESUS CHRIST mighty name, AMEN.
