Selecciones que se quedaron fuera del mundial de Rusia 2018

• Todos los amantes del deporte rey esperamos con ansias el próximo mundial de Rusia 2018, la cita que reunirá a los máximos exponentes del balompié mundial para disputarse entre sí con la esperanza y la ilusión de poder hacerse con la Copa del Mundo, el más prestigioso premio a nivel de selecciones.  Los años pasan y no han faltado casos en los que nos sorprende el fútbol con la ausencia de grandes selecciones que se quedan a las puertas de una cita mundialista. En este post quisimos traerles algunas de ellas.

•  La selección de Chile

                     

                            

• La selección chilena, mejor conocida como "la roja",  se introdujo en la década de los 80 en la palestra del fútbol mundial. A nivel absoluto ha participado en 9 ediciones de la copa de mundo, contando las 2 ultimas ediciones: Sudáfrica 2010 y  Brasil 2014, donde su desempeño no llamo demasiado la atención. Sin embargo ha sido unos de los grandes favoritos de Sudamérica al coronarse como bicampeón de la Copa América, (Chile el 2015 y la Copa Centenaria 2016). Contando con un selecta plantilla de jugadores de entre los cuales destacan Alexis Sánchez , Arturo Vidal  y Claudio Bravo, quedaron sin su boleto a Rusia al caer a merced de la selección brasilera en la ultima fecha de la eliminatoria, quedando 3-0.

• la selección holandesa de fútbol (mejor conocida a nivel mundial como la "la naranja mecánica") es una de las mas grandes selecciones del mundo. El origen de su apodo se remonta a la época de 1970, debido al color de su uniforme y su calidad de juego, que deslumbró a todo el mundo al llegar a 2 finales consecutivas del mundial, liderada por  Johan Cruyff . A pesar de haber estado presente en 3 finales del mundial, lastimosamente no ha podido alzarse con ninguna de esas (motivo por el cual se le ha apodado también como "la eterna subcampeona"). De entre sus logros destaca el haberse alzado con el titulo de la Eurocopa en el 88. En sus 2 ultimas actuaciones en el mundial, hicieron mérito a su segundo apodo al caer 1-0 contra la selección de España en Sudáfrica 2010, mientras que en Brasil 2014 quedaron en el podio al ganarle a Brasil 3-0 en el partido por el tercer puesto. Últimamente han venido decayendo en su fútbol al quedar fuera de la Euro 2016 y ahora, quedaron fuera del mundial de Rusia por diferencial de goles, en la ultima fecha de la eliminatoria , mandando a la selección de Suecia al repechaje.

• La selección de Italia

                      

• La escuadra mejor conocida como la "azzurra" -debido al color principal de su camisa, que tomó a pocos años de su nacimiento y actualmente sigue llevando consigo- es junto Alemania el equipo nacional más exitoso por detrás de Brasil, habiendo obtenido 4 títulos, y siendo también el tercer equipo con mas finales disputadas, incluyendo dos subcampeonatos. Además es el tercer equipo con mas ediciones, faltando a 3 de las 21 ediciones. Cabe destacar que no ha podido igualar sus logros en la Eurocopa, -el máximo torneo de selecciones del viejo continente-, habiendo salido vencedor únicamente en el torneo de 1968, celebrado en su propio país. En sus ultimas ultimas apariciones del mundial, su desempeño ha desmejorado notablemente, quedando eliminada en la fase de grupos de 2010 al registrar la peor actuación de su historia de los mundiales, quedando en el puesto 26°; en el mundial de Brasil 2014 volvió a queda fuera en la frase de grupos. Como dato curioso, ese año fue la primera vez que tres antiguos campeones quedaron posicionados en el mismo grupo (Uruguay, Inglaterra e Italia). Respecto al mundial del 2018, la clasificación de la selección italiana dependía de la repesca a la que fue mandada a jugar una serie de 2 partidos contra Suecia (donde pierde el partido de ida con  marcador de 1-0, y la vuelta empata 0-0). Es una de las grandes ausentes, que entre lágrimas entre lagrimas despide al guardameta Gianluigui Buffon quien le hereda la meta italiana a su compatriota Gianluigi Donnarumma.
