La escuela es un componente fundamental para garantizar el desarrollo de su personalidad, su inteligencia, y su comportamiento. A partir de esta edad el centro educativo es un ámbito privilegiado para alcanzar el equilibrio de estos tres pilares que perdurarán durante toda la vida.
La importancia de ir a la escuela todos los días
La educación preescolar y primaria es muy importante para los niños porque desde pequeños los expone a relaciones menos cercanas como son las del hogar, esto les ayuda a socializar y a mantener un contacto con reglas y normas diferentes a las que conocen, en consecuencia, su aprendizaje se diversifica y su desarrollo se cualifica. Además, en la escuela los niños adquieren rutinas de independencia personas y de autoayuda.
A nivel mundial organizaciones como Onu, Unesco, el Banco Mundial y Unicef implementan planes, programas y proyectos para disminuir la desescolarización y fomentar la inclusión en ambientes inclusivos y con posibilidades potenciales y reales para que la población infantil se beneficie del juego y la participación como forma de desarrollo en medios naturales y potenciadores.
Las escuelas e instituciones educativas tienen grandes retos al unir esfuerzos con comunidades, organizaciones no gubernamentales e instituciones tanto públicas como privadas, para abordar sus necesidades de recursos materiales y humanos, con la finalidad de afrontar amenazas y debilidades que socavan sus fortalezas y oportunidades para garantizar su función social y educativa a través de las políticas que el estado promueve.

En su libro INDICE DE I INCLUSION Desarrollando el aprendizaje y la participación en las escuelas, Tony Booth y Me1 Ainscow, realizaron importantes señalamientos en referencia al ambiente escolar y la variedad, cantidad e intensidad de relaciones con las cuales los niños se benefician, haciendo énfasis en las dinámicas de juego, como actividad rectora de la infancia, y las oportunidades de igualdad y participación en una escuela para todos.
A pesar de que sabemos que nuestras escuelas públicas tienen limitaciones de diversa índole; sigue siendo el espacio primario social para el niño. Como docentes y corresponsables sabemos que somos parte de esa respuesta que las familias esperan para tener la tranquilidad de que sus hijos reciban afecto y una educación con tanta calidad como lo que esté en nuestras manos ofrecer.
Tal vez los niños no miran la escuela igual que nosotros, los adultos, para ellos es un ambiente donde pueden relacionarse con pares, hacer grupos con los que tienen intereses parecidos y explorar relaciones; particularmente recuerdo mi tiempo de escuela con tropiezos; pero también con momentos divertidos. Cada quien construye el significado de sus momentos.
El principal mensaje que hoy quiero dejar es que al niño deben brindársele las oportunidades, cuidando de él, estar vigilantes y participar de las experiencias que les son significativas. Construir un aprendizaje en conjunto, es muy valioso, sobre todo si se trata de las personas que representen valor emocial. Estas primeras experiencias, posicitas o negativas, marcarán la vida del niño, inclusive hasta su adultez.
