Sinopsis: Jack es un niño de 5 años amoroso, creativo, activo e inteligente. Su mamá lo cuida, le da clases, juega con él y lo ama más que cualquier otra cosa en la habitación. Jack no lo sabe, porque todo lo que conoce del mundo es la habitación, pero ellos están secuestrados. Para Jack, la Habitación es el mundo entero, el lugar donde nació, donde come, juega y aprende. Por la noche, Mamá lo pone a dormir en el Armario, por si viene el Viejo Nick. La Habitación es el hogar de Jack, mientras para su madre es el cubículo donde lleva siete años encerrada, secuestrada desde los diecinueve. Con gran tesón e ingenio, la joven ha creado en ese reducido espacio una vida para su hijo, y su amor por él es lo único que le permite soportar lo insoportable. Sin embargo, la curiosidad de Jack va en aumento, a la par que la desesperación de su madre, que sabe que la Habitación no podrá contener ambas cosas por mucho más tiempo.
Jack es la ventana a la habitación. Vemos la historia a través de la inocencia de un pequeño de 5 años, con una percepción del mundo diferente a la de los demás niños. Para Jack cosas como el oceano, los arboles, los perros y demás, sólo están dentro de la tv, no son reales. Tremblay (el actor que interpreta a Jack) nos muestra a un niño feliz, de mente sana, gracias a su madre, quien día a día se esfuerza al máximo para que su hijo no sufra, algo que podríamos familiarizar bastante con la película "la vida es bella" (1999) una historia donde también nos demuestran que un padre hace hasta lo imposible por ver sonreír a su hijo a pesar de las circunstancias.
Pienso que es imposible ver esta película y no sentirse impactado en todo el transcurso de ella, es de esas películas que te dejan sin uñas. Desde el comienzo hasta el final se encarga de introducirte de una manera absurda en la historia, que en cada escena puedes sentir el sufrimiento de Ma, y pensamientos de Jack. Es increíble la actuación de Jacob Tremblay, cada dialogo y acción del personaje se encargó de hacerlo de una forma tan brillante y natural, que nos hace sentir no solo su inocencia y curiosidad sino también su madurez al entender la situación a su corta edad, su valentía, amor y protección hacia su madre.
Room es una película muy conmovedora, con un gran mensaje, un trasfondo que hay que entender para darle su verdadera apreciación, porque es necesario no solo verla desde un punto de vista superficial, me pareció de las mejores que vi en el 2016 (si no es que la mejor).

With great tenacity and ingenuity, the young woman has created in that small space a life for her son, and her love for him is the only thing that allows her to bear the unbearable. However, Jack's curiosity is increasing, along with the desperation of his mother, who knows that the room can not contain both for much longer.
Jack is the window to the room. We see the story through the innocence of a 5 year old, with a perception of the world different from that of other children. For Jack things like the ocean, the trees, the dogs and others, are only inside the tv, they are not real. Tremblay (the actor who plays Jack) shows us a happy, healthy-minded child, thanks to his mother, who every day makes every effort to ensure that his son does not suffer, something that we could become very familiar with "Life is beautiful "(1999) a story where also show that a father does the impossible to see his son smile despite the circumstances.
I think it's impossible to see this movie and not be shocked all the way through it, it's those movies that leave you nailed. From the beginning to the end, he is in charge of introducing you in an absurd way in history, that in each scene you can feel the suffering of Ma, and thoughts of Jack. It is incredible the performance of Jacob Tremblay, every dialogue and action of the character was responsible for doing so in a way so bright and natural, that makes us feel not only his innocence and curiosity but also his maturity in understanding the situation to his young age, his Courage, love and protection towards his mother.
Room is a very touching film, with a great message, a background that must be understood to give you true appreciation, because it is necessary not only to see it from a superficial point of view, it seems to me the best I saw in 2016 (if not Is that the best).
