relatadas porlos antiguos de sus dioses y héroes,
la naturaleza del mundo, los orígenes y el
significado de sus cultos y prácticas rituales.

Anubis Fue primero dios de los muertos y quedó relegado cuando el culto a Osiris
le otorgó a Osiris el papel principal en el Mas Allá.
Anubis fue uno de los dioses egipcios mas antiguos,
apareciendo en las paletas predinásticas de Nagada

Una de sus funciones era la de ser el abridor de caminos del Norte,

Algunos lugares de culto a Anubis  fueron Assiut, Menfis, Licópolis

Los sacerdotes se ponían máscaras de Anubis para oficiar en los funerales.

Su fiesta se celebraba el día 22 del mes de Mesore.
