They make something similar in the USA, called "chicken fried steak" or "country fried steak" - it's been so long since I moved out of my crazy country that I can't remember.
That's called a "Milanesa" which is a very common food here. It's thin sliced steak, breaded with garlic and parsley. They are very addicting!
