Juan Félix Sánchez, El arquitecto de la Piedra.
Del Estado Mérida, específicamente, de la población de San Rafael de Mucuchíes es Juan Félix Sánchez , un particular artista Merideño, que en pleno páramo andino, a 3342 metros sobre el nivel del mar, construyó con sus propias manos y a base de rocas la Capilla de Piedra, monumento arquitectónico en homenaje a la Patrona de Venezuela la Virgen de Coromoto y que en el año 2003 fuera declarado como Patrimonio Cultural de Venezuela.
