A new virus has been discovered which uses the Android phones of its users to empty the bank account of the victims through the banking applications.

Russian cyber security company Group-IB released an initial report of this unnamed virus last Wednesday, warning that it is still spreading.

The virus hides behind a multimedia message (MMS) of one of the user's contacts, the virus sends a link that, when it is pressed, deploys the virus through an application.

The program then obtains administrator privileges on the Android system, sending messages to contacts requesting a bank transfer via SMS.
