Mont Saint Michel
Hello friends of steemit, this time I share a landscape, to relax, I must confess that it is my first landscape, since I had only drawn faces, this interpretation is called Mont Saint Michel and is in France.
Hola amigos de steemit, en esta ocasión les comparto un paisaje, para relajarnos, debo confesarles que es mi primer paisaje, ya que sólo había dibujado rostros, esta interpretación se llama Mont Saint Michel y queda en Francia.
In the year 708 begins to worship San Miguel on the Mount, which becomes one of the most important medieval pilgrimage centers in Europe. In the 10th century, Benedictines built an abbey on the rock.
A challenge to the attacks of man, of time and of the elements. During the Hundred Years War (XIV-XV centuries) the heroic resistance of the Mount against the English makes it a place that symbolizes national identity. Abandoned by the monks in 1790, the abbey is declared a historical monument in 1874. The complex recovers its former splendor thanks to the continuous restoration work.
En el año 708 se empieza a rendir culto a San Miguel en el Monte, que se convierte en uno de los centros de peregrinaje medieval más importantes de Europa. En el siglo X, los benedictinos construyen en la roca una abadía.
Un desafío a los ataques del hombre, del tiempo y de los elementos. Durante la Guerra de los Cien Años (siglos XIV-XV) la heroica resistencia del Monte frente a los ingleses lo convierte en un lugar que simboliza la identidad nacional. Abandonada por los monjes en 1790, la abadía es declarada monumento histórico en 1874. El conjunto recupera su antiguo esplendor gracias a los continuos trabajos de restauración.
