Fun Spanish-Learning Exercise For The Musically-Inclined - Learn a Song!
Summary for Spanish-speakers reading - Un Resumen Por Hispanohablantes (lo siento por ningun errores, soy un principiante): Estoy aprendiendo la canta 'Despacito' por mi practica en espanol! Es muy divertido y estoy aprendiendo 20-30 palabras por la canta! Es un ejercicio divertido por aprendiendo. :)
I've been learning Spanish for a while using the Duolingo (fun language-learning app with many languages to choose from), just to enrich my brain and to learn a language like I always imagined myself doing during my life. Using Duolingo has made Spanish-Learning fun and I've progressed more in the last 8 months since I started than I did within the entirety of my 3 years of Spanish in high school, but I finished all the exercises in Duolingo. So, I started reading some kids books in Spanish and watching some kids TV shows, but I've found another fun way for me to learn it.
It's fun because I'm learning probably 20-30 new words that I haven't really encountered in my reading and I'm also learning to space my speaking in a certain, more flowing way in order to sing the song, so it is a good exercise for my accent and for my mouth dexterity for Spanish-speaking. I recommend checking the song out, it's pretty rockin (I've attached video below). I just wanted to share this fun learning exercise with other people, in case they're learning Spanish too and that sounds like a fun exercise for them. There's so much great Spanish music, so you can really learn a lot and really have a lot of fun at the same time!
Great idea! Despacito actually helped me learn quite a few words. I also like Enrique Inglesias songs, they're really catchy so it's easy to remember a few new words.
Thanks! and yeah, he's good, I'll have to listen to some! :)
Conozco quienes han mejorado su segunda lengua aprendiendo con las canciones.
Estoy feliz a escuchar eso! :)
Hijoles! Que vieja ! Realmente preciosa!
Por favor, síganme... Voy a mandarles un poema que escribí en que cada linea empieza en Ingles y acaba en Español. Aqui les doy las primeras dos estrofas:
(Ayy! Hijoles! Estoy viendo tu video, y esa mujer me enciende!)
I'm not good as profeta
So I'll try it as poeta
Shout about it in gaceta
I announce it with trompeta
My Cognate Word poem is here.
Now you start on new proyecto
Get a dose of intelecto
You'll speak Spanish soon correcto
Or some other dialecto !
=== hasta ahi... siganme, y les prometo que les va a gustar lo demas.
Y por favor: Mandanos otro video de esa diosa... mujer hermosa... Que sonrisa tan bonita ! Que manera de bailar !
Eso estaba genial! Gracias por compartir! :)
Pero no esta completo. SIGUEME y yo te sigo a ti. Escribí tres poemas cognados. Lo que escribí arriba es solo una parte del poema mas corto. SIGUEME y lee el entero, y luego voy a poner los tres poemas, eventualmente.

Lo mismo hago yo, escucho música en inglés para aprender ☺️ Saludos. Bendiciones.
