La Puerta is a pleasant Trujillo village, which has been "the door of the Andes" and hence its name. It is a good place to spend the night when you want to go to the "snow route" and get to Mérida, passing by El Águila peak. It is more than 1700 meters above sea level, which gives it a very pleasant climate, making it one of the most sought after destinations by the Marabinos (It is only 3 hours from Maracaibo). Apart from tourism, it is a mainly agricultural town where onions, potatoes, tomatoes, lettuce, carrots and cabbage are grown. Roses and carnations are also grown. On a holiday April 19, in Venezuela, I went to visit my family in the beautiful State of Trujillo, a land of exuberant nature. We chose to go to "La Puerta", we enjoyed the scenery and its people. We begin our walk in Plaza Bolívar and in front we see the facade of the Catholic Church.
After enjoying a while in the Plaza Bolivar, its surroundings where we find handicrafts, strawberries with cream and typical restaurants. We continue our way through the town until we find a beautiful hauses surrounded by beautiful flowers
After enjoying the villas, surrounded by multicolored flowers. We continue our way to the "La Lagunita" a community inhabited by friendly and cordial people. Here a view of the landscape on the road to "La Lagunita" the beautiful landscapes contrast with the agricultural activities of the locals.
