Todos o la mayoría de los venezolanos conoce la historia de éste hombre, cuya generación familiar, siempre apostó por la producción nacional en el país. Para quienes no lo conocen, Lorenzo Mendoza, es el dueño de una empresa con mas de 4 generalizaciones, su bisabuelo (quien fue el fundador) es el que empezó este legado, su abuelo, su padre y ahora el, han sido protagonistas de lo que para todo aquel que es venezolano significa la AREPA. La arepa, es el producto principal que la empresa que el preside realiza, se a extendido por diversas partes de América Latina, hasta llegar a ser un símbolo de Venezuela.
All or most of Venezuelans know the history of this man, whose family generation, always bet on the national production in the country. Debido a la terrible situación que se vive en Venezuela, muchos grandes político, sociólogos, diplomáticos, y sobre todo el pueblo venezolano, han analizado la postura de convertir a este "Gran Empresario", en el posible candidato a la Presidencia de la República, por ser un conocedor de las finanzas de un emporio como lo es Empresas Polar, y por saber administrar sus empresas. En innumerables oportunidades, las personas se le han acercado con gran apego a Lorenzo Mendoza haciéndoles comentarios como, "Ud es el salvador de Venezuela", "Será nuestro nuevo Presidente", "Ayúdenos a salir de esta grave situación, solo ud puede". Estos comentarios han llevado a Sr. Lorenzo, hacerle frente a la situación dejando muy en claro su postura política.
En pocos meses se realizaran elecciones presidenciales en Venezuela, tema que tiene muy tenso a cada venezolano ya que la situación es insostenible para todos. Un partido independiente, ha tomado la iniciativa de realizar innumerables concentraciones, para pedirle al "Salvador de Venezuela" (como muchos lo apodan), que acepte la candidatura política, teniendo la fe y la esperanza de que el acepte, siendo un hombre con carácter y gran conocimiento para lo que economía se refiere, ya que eso es lo que un país tan rico como Venezuela necesita para salir adelante.
