Después de haber visto una temporada increíble donde Los Reds (Liverpool) habían empezado con el pie derecho el Manchester City de Pep Guardiola, con una victoria de visitante ante el Brighton, le dio la vuelta a la Premier League en la última fecha del Campeonato Nacional Inglés.
Fueron 98 puntos los que tuvieron que hacer "Los Citizens" para poder levantar el título y así darle una alegría a su afición después de la dolorosa derrota ante el Tottenham Hotspur en la UEFA Champions League.
Goles del Manchester City: Sergio Agüero 28'. Aymeric Laporte 38'. Riyad Mahrez 63', Ilkay Gündogan 72'.
Goles de Brighton: Glenn Murray 27'.
