RE: Fiftysats Botnet: Are YOU Blacklisted & Don't Know Why?
@guiltyparties or @spaminator, I am on this list, though the post is 29 days old, I am just now hearing this.
I have not clicked on any links (a friend sent me this link in Discord DM, I didn't click it, I came looking, for all I know she has been hacked and is sending me links to put me at risk)
I just checked steemd, there are three upvotes I don't recognize, but none you have noted here, but I DO see about 5 DOWNVOTES on my posts by Mack-bot
Now what is that, why would it out of the blue downvote my posts and how do I stop it or appeal it?
Take yourself off any trails and monitor your account. You should not see any votes you haven't made. If you do, that means the hacker has your posting keys and you will need to change your keys. Don't use any websites that don't have either Keychain or Steemconnect. I'm removing your downvotes as I type this so please let me know if you have any further issues or need help.
Thank you @guiltyparties.
Here's the thing, I changed all my keys last week because
A. keychain was not letting me log in reliably (and I KNOW I was typing my password correctly) and
B. I have not been able to use steemconnect reliably in a VERY long time, that is the main reason I quit using busy.org, because steemconnect was the only way in.
I was only in ONE trail through Steemauto, and that was Gratefulvibes.
I've got to try and remember who and if I am connected to any others
If you can't use SC or Keychain reliably, don't use them. Just stick with Steemit.com and do other transactions in command line applications. If you think you're good now you probably are and I've removed you already.
I'm using Creative coin, Palnet, and esteem other than steemit itself.
Esteem's currency doesn't show on any platform I've checked to try and
Redeem for real money or change to anything but ESTM.
Thanks for your help @guiltyparties
What exactly do you mean by Command line applications @guiltyparties?
I know what command prompt is in Windows, and I know a little bit about using DOS commands, but not nearly as much as I would like to know.
I mean there are ways to use the Steem blockchain by interacting directly with it, such as by using cli_wallet, but it's more advanced than the Windows app. If you search around there are a lot of interesting posts about how to perform transactions.
I sure wish you'd point me to one @guiltyparties, I always would like a little help, especially when it is probably obvious to most people
Thanks
