The curse of the landowner sparks Spain and Russia climb to the quarterfinals
The Russian team made a resounding surprise with the exclusion of Spain from the World Cup semi-final after winning a penalty shootout 4-3 after the 1-1 draw.
Sergey Inajevic opened the scoring for Spain in the 12th minute, and Artem Dziuba equalized in the 41st minute with a penalty kick.
Russia are in the quarter-finals of Croatia and Denmark.
