Málaga! Spain's historic Southern Gem <3
Málaga is such a historically rich city in Spain, located somewhat near it's Southernmost tip of Gibraltar. It is regarded as one of the oldest still-standing cities in the entire world, dating back more than 2,800 years in age.
The name Málaga most likely derives from the word Salt (Malaha, Malah, Melah in other languages), which may or may not have anything to do with the city's prominent exports in the past.
Throughout its years, the city has seen a lot of political changes come and go, as well as the influences from the many religions circulating around the Mediterranean Sea. Because of the city's location near the African continent, it had previously been a vital port for trade and troop movements between the European and African nations.
One of the more light-hearted places to visit in Málaga is the Picasso Museum, which showcases the artists work. Today tourism makes up most of Málaga's economic wealth, for those who visit to partake in the wine region, many museums, and relaxing beaches.

Great views! Would love to go there sometime too. I need to make some plans to get over that way this year if I can.
