A giant moon in the skies of Doha next Sunday

In the giant moon phenomenon the full moon will look larger than the usual moon by about 14% and 30%

The Qatari calendar house announced that the spring of the first spring will reach the full moon on Sunday 3 December at 6:47 pm Doha time (3:47 pm GMT).
Qatar's Al-Sharq newspaper quoted astronomer Bashir Marzouk as saying that Badr Rabee al-Awal that night would be completely different from the usual moon, as it would appear in the shape of the giant moon, because this time the full moon would look about 14 percent larger By 30%, because of its proximity to the Earth, as the Moon will be about 358 thousand kilometers from the center of the Earth.
Residents of the State of Qatar will be able to enjoy the vision and follow-up of the only giant moon this year throughout the night, from the time of the moonrise on the sky of Doha that evening until the sunset the next morning.
Marzouk said that the phenomenon occurred three times during the past year, while it will be repeated again on 2 January.
The head of the Qatar Center for Space and Astronomy Salman bin Jabr Al-Thani explains this astronomical phenomenon on the website of the Center:
When the moon is full or full moon, when it is at its closest point, when the Earth is in the "bottom" phase, the moon's orbit is known as elliptic or obliterated, so it is once close to Earth and time away from it. And the farthest point the moon reaches from Earth in its orbit is called the "apogee." At this point the moon is called the dwarf moon.
The distance between the Moon and the Earth at the apogee reaches about 406.7 thousand kilometers, while at the point of the bottom it reaches 356.5 thousand kilometers, and the distance between the apogee and lunar points is one lunar month, approximately 27 days.
The head of the Qatar Center for Astronomy and Astronomy says that the moon has no scientific significance for astronomers, but it can be exploited by astronomers, astronomers, photography enthusiasts and schoolteachers to direct astronomical telescopes to the moon and remind students of the only natural orbiting earth. .
The Qatari astronomer confirms that the giant moon approached the earth means a slight increase in volume and luster only, but it does not affect the eruptions of volcanoes, hurricanes, earthquakes and others, as indicated by research and astrological studies.
