May 1st, Kennedy like Awareness of Public need for Inspiration Oriented far from the Slaughter of War.
“As the exploration and utilization of space becomes more complex….[the] United States [will]...maintain its position as a leader in space [and]...expand its preeminence,” Scott Pace, executive secretary of the U.S. National Space Council, said this week in his keynote address on at Hudson Institute (Harebottle).
I have an idea of the time when space is opened and reachable, and it can be compared to the threat posed from AI and robotics. Clearly, like the uncharted ocean's of history, trade routes along open waters of the 1700’s, had scarce security from the functioning piracy of legends accounted for today. It is certainly unfortunately the outcome of potential piracy not of vessels carrying goods in the sea; it is of vessels in space.
Must it be so hard to predict how fast space will normalize to human population and become familiar? For now, with technology predictions more accurate, rarely can they become real before we see, differing from what has happened often in the past. Any way, the treasures of space orbit the ready spirits thriving here looking up with excitement!
More importantly now, “President Trump knows that a stable and orderly space environment is critical to the strength of our economy and the resilience of our national security systems,” US Vice President Pence relayed at the National Space Symposium (Harebottle).
Seriously, what would be the 6th Military Branch, Business Insider, among many others, quote US President Trump publicly stating May 1st, “We are getting very big in space, both militarily and for other reasons, and we are seriously thinking of the Space Force…. [then mentions the US military as] the greatest force for peace and justice the world has ever known…. You will keep us safe….You will keep us strong…. You will keep us free” (Cawthorne).
Interesting is the use of “other reasons” US President Trump includes in his statement. These reasons would primarily and largely be of economic priority. Space holds many assets to us such as Gold, in much significantly larger quantities than those here on Earth. A single asteroid already named 16, is written to be, “almost entirely made of metal, including iron, nickel, and gold….also estimated to be worth around $700 quintillion”(Mahon).
Though Mahon from outerplace.com seems pessimistic in this article predicting a timeline, scientists often miscalculate deadlines. For example the human genome was decoded in under 10 years while miscalculating talented and experienced scientested misjudged the exponential growth, claiming it would be 100 years before completion. Many asteroids orbit Earth, and many opportunities will become ambitiously circulated among humanity.
