Space observation

We have a large number of friends who do space observations among our volunteers. Upon a tip to our center, we directed our main telescope to the side of the object and we were able to display the object for a short time. Unfortunately, the cloud density in the air increased. And after the disaster, we were able to understand what was actually going on based on the images delivered by the amateur space researchers around the world.

Of course, we never doubted that. Otherwise, an asteroid with the size of the world must have been detected months ago. It is impossible for an object to be seen to come closer to the world for so long.

It is said that after the object entered the solar system, it collided with another celestial body and changed its direction.

It doesn't seem reasonable to me that a civilization capable of such a large space ship would bring it into the world. What could be their purpose?
