SpaceX Falcon 9 Iridium Evening Launch
Viewing the launch from my yard. Apologies for the bad audio, but launches are sometimes too much for my Canon to pick up without distortion. The rattling sound at the beginning is from my well-built windows rattling.
This launch is a great example of "mysterious" pinwheels, spirals, and other phenomena many attribute to aliens or UFOs. In reality these are nothing more than rocket or missile-induced phenomena, caused by as in this clip, firing of maneuvering thrusters.
Oh my. That was unexpectedly spectacular. I was so bummed to miss this -- I religiously watch every launch I can when I'm home, but I'm out of town so I didn't get to see it. I saw someone say it was one of the best he's seen in 40 years. Cheers!
peep this you tube video lol
Funny! Once, I think it was in like 1987 I thought I saw what was a UFO... it was a black triangle which was flying super low over South Hill of Spokane, Washington. It had no lights except for a red one underneath and it was fairly quiet.... and it was huge! I found out the next day that several people reported the sighting as well. A couple years later, we all found out about the B-2 Stealth bomber... and, that's exactly what it was. It was flying in the direction toward Fairchild AFB.
I lol'd...all the way through
i'm trying to get him to post more here but he mostly posts on instagram
