Songkran: Thai water festival

In April every year when it is hottest in Thailand the whole country has a festival called Songkran where everyone throws water over everyone outside.

The next four images are mine and were taken in East Thailand and North Thailand.

One day we all got in a pick-up truck and drove around throwing water and squirting water guns at everyone we met and had an amazing time. We also had much water thrown at us too, some of it freezing.

April is probably one of the most fun times in Thailand where for three days life is a big adventure.

One day I'll go back again and join in the fun once again throwing water over everyone...
