So it was Sunday afternoon and we 3 sisters were sitting outside in my backyard enjoying some chitchat and sunshine.
And as we were talking about this and that, a neighbour shows up carrying 3 brown paper bags. He tells us that he has brought us a surprise and we 3 girls were like little kids again as we opened our bags of maple syrup, butter and taffy.
And then he joined us in our sit down chat and for so many reasons it felt like we had gone back in time.
For he had grown up just a few houses away from where we had grown up. And his parents and our parents had been neighbours all their lives.
And as we laughed and talked about this and that, I was reminded again of how lucky I am to be surrounded by good neighbours because in so many ways it is for sure a very good thing!
