Stourhead. The Jewel in the National Trust Estate.

I didn't even know this place existed until yesterday!

My my what a find in Somerset.

It's a truly breathtaking estate particularly the gardens.

This was owned by the Hoare family and they loved the more naturalistic garden style much removed from the highly geometric style as seen at say the palace of Versailles.

Here it was a blending of structure and art.
