Hi everyone! I have often written that decentralized social networks will soon be in trend and I am sure that in the future many users will prefer web3 platforms. I’ve been reading and researching different platforms, but I really like the new social network Solcial.

Decentralized social networks have a number of advantages over the web2 platforms we are used to:

1. security of user data. Decentralized social networks have no central user database that can be hacked.

2. privacy. All user data is encrypted and stored on their own device, not on a server that can be accessed by fraudsters.

3. no censorship. The lack of a central management body makes it impossible to delete publications or accounts. Thanks to decentralization and IPFS technology, users exchange any information with each other at the P2P level. You have complete control over what you share. No one can delete your publication.

4. anonymity. When registering, all you need is a cryptocurrency wallet. Users do not need to disclose any personal information about themselves.

By the way, some decentralized social networks request e-mail during registration. In Solcial the mail is specified if you want (if you want to receive notifications).

I was lucky to be among the first Solcial users. And now I would like to make a small review of the social network.

Let’s start with registration.

1. To register you need a SOL wallet and some SOL token (you need about 0.025 SOL). Press “Connect Wallet”.

1. Then a window opens where you have to enter an invitation code. At the moment, all registration in Solcial is done by invites. To get the invites, you can contact the Project Discord.

Then enter username, display name and optionally enter e-mail (if you want to receive notifications).

Note that in the future username can not be changed! So think beforehand about what topic you would like to write in the social network. Maybe the username will reflect the theme of your blog, or maybe you’d rather use your real name or a web2 social networking nickname that your subscribers like.

1. After entering the data confirm all the actions in the wallet and proceed to the creation of your own token and the choice of ticker to it!


1. After you create a token, 990,000 of your tokens will be in your wallet and 10,000 will be in your pool. The selling price of your personal token will be $1. You can add your tokens to the pool if you wish.

Now you can read other authors’ posts, publish on your page, and monitor the price and capitalization of your and other users’ tokens.

You can see how many people have bought your token and any other content creator.

From my point of view, the social network is fast and easy to use. Now all users have a high probability of being in the top feed. Since there are not many users now, you can already develop your blog on a certain topic, increasing the audience.
