A new molecule collects solar energy without solar panels

in #solar6 years ago

The discussion of climate change has been going on for decades as the issue is how to reduce industrial carbon dioxide emissions.

One of the latest innovations is the molecular sheet. Liang-Shi Li from Indiana University and an international team of scientists have discovered a new way in which they can recycle carbon dioxide from the Earth's atmosphere.

With the use of light and electricity, this molecule created by the team can convert carbon dioxide into carbon monoxide that can be used as fuel. According to scientists, the molecular sheet is the most effective method for reducing carbon dioxide to date.

The molecule has a dark-nano-grained structure that absorbs large amounts of sunlight. Solar energy is used by the rhenium to convert carbon dioxide into carbon monoxide.

Molecular sheet can help to deal with the greenhouse effect. Most scientists agree that greenhouse gases separated from human industries have significantly increased Earth's temperature over the past 50 years.

But if you burn CO, (use it as fuel) you are producing CO2 again ?
