Is the sinking boat a good analogy for society in general?
It seems easy to stereotype society this way. The doom and gloom line with a bit of cynicism mixed in. Probably because there is a good amount of truth to it. Some people seems either unaware, uninterested or ignore what's going on around them.
By what's going on around them I don't just mean in economic terms. Some people are sinking due to the injustice of the state for example. Society as s whole no longer functions in a healthy manner both physically and mentally. I would suggest this is due to a lack of understanding and acting upon self ownership. So yea things can easily look negative.
However, we should keep in mind there are many who have found ways to jump ship and float on their own. Some have even helped those who were stuck bailing out the unaware, uniterested or ignorant. Go back to maybe 2012 and I would have fully, and blindly, agreed with this analogy. Now I've seen enough to say there's a lot more at play here then one sinking ship and two types of people. There is more reason to optimistic then just hope or faith. Reality and truth are showing there is potential for positive left!

People don't seem to care anymore aslong s they are all right that's all that matters
There is an issue there with thought processes for sure.
