In fact only 10 members of their Euro 2016 squad made it to the world cup and though they lost only one game in the qualifying rounds a group consisting of only Switzerland for top class opposition cannot be taken seriously...
Spain may have lost their Manager less than 48 hours to their opener but they still retain the same vastly experienced squad of veterans who won everything on offer from 2008 to 2012 and they have blended those vets with new blood.
A new manager will not change the playing style of constant and consistent domination of possession la Roja display in their matches..
CR7 alone cannot be left to carry the burden of an obviously average squad,the last time Portugal attempted this in 2014 against Germany it went horribly wrong but it seems they're yet to learn their lesson
