Manchester City vs Wolves

in #soccer6 years ago

Gabriel Jesus scored twice as Manchester City grabbed a comfortable 3-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.
City showed dominance early on in the game, looking relaxed and playing with ease. It wasn't a surprise when they took the lead in the first 10 minutes. Gabriel Jesus slotting the ball into the net after his run was picked out by Sane.
Things go front bad to worse for Wolves, when Boly gets a straight red from the referee after a rough tackle on Bernardo Silva that could have caused some damage to Silva's ankle.
With the game now 11-10, City just keep on piling the pressure.
City get another chance in the 38th minute, after winning a penalty from a challenge by Bennet on Sterling. Jesus takes the spot kick, sending the keeper the wrong way with a stuttering run up and slots it into the right side.
City continue their dominance in the second half and it looks like smooth sailing for them. Wolves just couldn't find an answer for City and the early red card didn't help things.
De Bruyne attempt goes on to kill the game in the 78th minute. City take a short corner and De Bruyne receives the ball. He then curls a fine shot towards goal but the ball comes off Coady before going in. City's third coming as an own goal from Coady.
Manchester City's win now narrows the gap between them and first placed Liverpool to 4 points. Liverpool will be looking to restore the 7 points gap on Saturday.
